The role:

This role is a hands-on role, and whilst you'll have a team to support you on your account portfolio, an in-depth understanding of digital marketing is required, and HubSpot experience is desired.

This is a UK-based, remote role. However, you'll be required to travel to our London office for face-to-face/in-person meetings and conduct workshops with clients and teammates.

The core responsibilities of the role are:

  • Create detailed marketing plans that outline the client's goals, target audience, messaging and tactics to achieve those goals.
  • Conduct market research to understand the industry, competitors and consumer behaviour. This includes analysing market trends, consumer demographics and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Monitor competitors' marketing strategies and activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
  • Define and profile the client's ideal target audience or buyer personas. This includes understanding their needs, preferences, pain points and behaviours to tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Help your clients establish their brand identity and positioning within their industry. This includes defining their values, messaging and visual elements that resonate with the target audience.
  • Determine the most effective marketing channels and approaches (based on the services we deliver) and tactics to reach the target audience. This may involve a mix of online and (sometimes) offline strategies.
  • Define marketing budgets that allocate resources effectively across different channels and activities. Ensure the client's defined budget aligns with their goals and priorities.
  • Create specific marketing campaigns with detailed strategies, timelines and key performance indicators (KPIs). These campaigns may be focused on their core products, new product launches or other marketing initiatives.
  • Develop content strategies that align with the overall marketing plan. This includes content creation (but not always) and promotion strategies to engage and inform the target audience.
  • Define and agree with your customers on KPIs and metrics to measure the success of our marketing efforts. Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports to the client, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Continuously analyse and adapt marketing strategies based on performance data and market changes. This includes A/B testing, optimising ad spend and making strategic adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, preferences and feedback. Serve as a trusted advisor and collaborator in shaping the client's marketing direction.
  • Ensure that all marketing strategies and campaigns comply with relevant laws, regulations concerning our customers and ethical guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth through renewals and upsells.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with your portfolio
  • Launch and manage inbound marketing and paid campaigns for our clients.
  • Work to resolve any client requests or issues, escalating as needed.
  • Ensure all project management and time tracking requirements are met in line with business requirements.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have these qualities:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a client-facing marketing role, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the digital marketing landscape - very good understanding of PPC, SEO, Inbound Marketing and Demand Generation.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing platforms and marketing automation tools.
  • Previous experience working in a digital marketing agency is a plus.
  • Business savvy with consultative, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who wants to learn and has a proven track record of achieving results while balancing client expectations.
  • Very organised, quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with team members, clients and partners in person, via phone and email.
  • Collaborative - it’s easy for you to build and maintain relationships, manage expectations and identify issues that require escalation.
